iBookshelf

This really meets a need for me, and I find it quite well organized. However, its gotten stuck a few times, when I was trying to delete extra books and when trying to get off the book cover display mode.

Crashing

I do really like this app but lately saving a new book causes it to crash. Please fix soon.

Love!!!!!

Love this app. Its like shazzam for books. No more taking pics.

Fabulous app, just live being able to catalogue my books!

Fabulous.

iBookshelf

The app does just what I want it to in a practical, easy to use manner. However, the support is amazing! Had a problem with my database and got immediate, detailed help.

Fabulous app for tracking my books !!!

I have just installed this on my new iPad and restored the db from Dropbox. It worked like a charm! In few seconds I had 100+ books in my app! FANTASTIC!!!

Well designed

I love this app and use it often. I have not had any problems at all. I also live that you can retrieve missing details from the Internet. Keep up the great work ❤

iBookshelf is great

Great way to keep track of what youve read, what you own and are looking for. I buy e-book for my iPad on Kindle, Kobo, iBooks plus library e-books, paper books - its hard to keep track of everything and this app really helps! I especially like having the ability to select covers or photograph your own book covers. One suggestion is to allow different views while looking at the app in landscape setting.

Great app!

Giving only 4 stars because it crashes and needs to be restarted a bit too often

not the greatest

For the most part this was a good app. but it has started crashing all the time and now it wont let me change/update information without closing out. I have emailed the developer but heard nothing back. It would also be nice to be able to update on the computer too, as the whole backup/dropbox things doesnt work. Too bad! It started out good but has really gone down hill.

Good app

I really like this app. The barcode scanning works well, but sometimes it scans it and comes up with a completely different book and completely different isbn than what is on the barcode. Also, an option to have the books youre reading be the first thing that comes up when you open the app would be nice. I so far havent had it glitch for me much, and the Dropbox backup has worked fine. Overall, this is a good app that has the potential to be even better with a few tweaks.

Update my review - not a dead app

After having a problem with the app posting to facebook, I attempted to contact the developer with no result. I also posted a message on the developers forum with no result. The silence was deafening and discouraging. However developer eventually responded with an apology and an awareness of the issue. He also indicated a fix is in the works along with some interesting developments. I like ths app and hope to be able to increase my ratings upon a new release.

Ibookshelf

Only problem is that it crashes often. Other than that, I am satisfied.

Book Worms will love this

I cant tell you how many times Ive been in a used book store and my mind goes blank as to what I already have! This is going to save me some cash and help me with all the series that I read. It takes a while to get my current library in here but that because I have so many. The app is occasionally a teeny bit glitchy but I havent lost any info... Just had to re do the one I was currently uploading. Easy to add a photo if needed. Well worth the price. Updated Aug/2012- still glitchy... Closes on me regularly, after I scan a barcode none of the text boxes appear (40% of the time) and I have to exit that part and start over , very frustrating and time consuming which is too bad because when I do finally get the info in I LOVE this app.

Good but many crashes

The program is nice but it crashes a lot. Another thing that would be nice is to have the ability to select multiple books on your bookshelf and change their details at once ... Ie: from wanted to owned

My fave app

Great for if you have a lot of books

Great cataloging app

Just started using this app. It appears quite intuitive, well designed and easy to use. It facilitates rapid entries by scanning barcodes or entering the ISBN numbers. There are a few glitches and, at least one problem so far. The backup requires a workaround, when using DropBox, which is installed on the same device. The developer responded quickly with the solution.

Getting better

I have been using this app for about a month, at first it was just shutting off for no reason, but now it seems to be a lot better, its very slow starting off, but it works well now, the upgrades seem to be working

Useful

Im using this app to keep track of 400+ books Ive read so I dont buy duplicates- and to read overlooked authors I enjoyed. I like the links to databases making it easier to log authors, especially those Ive read multiple books. A few older books, it doesnt know. The display isnt bad, but itll be hard to scan dozens of authors and books; needs a list view, too. The genre listing is screwy, to the point of useless. I dont care about price paid, and wish there was an easier way to indicate "donated", and for authors I want to read "more" of (but like there is an ePub option). Being able to view by eating will be useful. its a bit crash prone, and when doing bulk entry if you hit genre rather than rating itll skip the entry. So not perfect, but good enough to make the effort to input all those books manually (my iPod cant barcode scan)! Im. Sure itll help some, but not quite as much as I had hoped.

Useful

The software is very useful and great... Just freezes every now and then.
